Turn the design brief into a tile schedule
A project RFQ should identify each tile by application and measurable attributes. This reduces ambiguity when samples, production lots and replacement quantities are compared.
- Nominal and actual size, thickness, finish and edge treatment
- Colour, pattern, surface variation and approved reference sample
- Wall, floor, wet-area, exterior or other intended application
- Quantity by item, expected wastage allowance and delivery phase
Agree quality checks before production
Define how dimensions, shade, surface appearance, packing and breakage will be checked. Applicable standards and test reports must be selected for the destination and intended use rather than assumed from a generic catalogue.
Include packing and replacement planning
Request a landed-cost breakdown using a stated Incoterm and destination. Samples, inspection, inland logistics and freight assumptions should be visible in the commercial comparison.
- Pieces and square metres per carton
- Pallet, corner protection and container-loading requirements
- Carton labels, batch references and project-area codes
- Policy for approved overage, transit damage and later replacements
